Ready-to-wear
← Back to glossaryDefinition
Ready-to-wear refers to industrially manufactured clothing in standardized sizes, as opposed to custom haute couture. This industry represents the majority of the fashion market and offers many opportunities for models: runway shows, photoshoots, advertising campaigns. Ready-to-wear models must adapt to standard sizes and embody the aspirational accessibility of brands.
